New Animal-Shaped Bike Racks
The Land Park Community Association recently raised funds and commissioned three animal-shaped bike racks by Gina Rossi that are now outside the Zoo.

Deaf Awareness Day Icon

Deaf Awareness Day       September 13: 10 am to 3 pm
Join us for a special day for our deaf and hard of hearing community sponsored by NorCal Services for Deaf and Hard of Hearing. The Zoo will have ASL interpreters on site for the event.

Member Preview: Small Wonders of Africa      September 26: 5:30 to 8:30 pm
Sacramento Zoo members get a sneak peek of the Small Wonders exhibit featuring new species of East African animals. Becoming a member today!

Small Wonders of Africa Opening Weekend          Opens September 27
Come see the newest exhibit featuring new species of East African animals including Straw-colored Fruit Bats, Aardvark, Red-billed hornbill and more!

Red Panda Day        September 27: 10 am to 4 pm
Learn about Red Panda conservation! Kids and adults can become "Red Panda Rangers" after stopping at various stations and completing activities.

Wild Affair Gala Fundraiser       October 4: 5 to 10 pm
A fabulous evening awaits you! Enjoy a sumptuous farm-to-fork meal, live entertainment, exclusice behind-the-scenes animal tours, hosted cocktails and wine, live and silent auction. Zoo closes early at 1:30 pm.

Open since 1927, the Sacramento Zoo is home to over 140 native, rare and endangered species and is one of over 200 accredited institutions of the Association of Zoos and Aquariums.  The Zoo is wholly managed by the nonprofit Sacramento Zoological Society and inspires conservation awareness through education and recreation.
