Proceeds benefit conservation efforts here and around the world. Located in the Kampala Conference Center inside the Sacramento Zoo. Included with Zoo admission and part of the Earth Fest activities.
Earth Fest - It's a Party for the Planet! Saturday, April 6 - 9 am to 4 pm It’s a party for the planet! Learn how to protect and preserve the earth with environmental, wildlife and conservation organizations. During the day explore animal bio-artifacts; participate in storytelling and activities in the Discovery Room; come face-to-face with the outreach animals; or listen as keepers present enrichment talks in the afternoon.

Autism Awareness Day Sunday, April 28 - 9 am to 4 pm Join Autism Speaks at the Sacramento Zoo for our ‘Zoos Go Blue’ autism awareness day. Free admission to all individuals on the spectrum with the purchase of one adult admission. Senior Tea & Tours Mondays, May 6, 13, 20 - 9:30 am to Noon Have a pleasant cup of tea and a guided tour of the Sacramento Zoo! Designed especially for seniors ages 55 and over, your group will be met by Docents (volunteer educators) and will tour part of the zoo. During the tea break you'll be served lemonade, tea, coffee, finger sandwiches, breads and cookies.

Missing Orangutan Mom’s Day Book & Bake Sale Sunday, May 12 - 10 am to 3 pm Buy some delicious palm oil free baked goods, a good book, and learn all about how orangutans are excellent mothers. Find our table near the Orangutan exhibit. All proceeds support Missing Orangutan Mothers (MOM), an organization that aids orphaned orangutans in the wild.
Swingin' Safari Golf Tournament Monday, May 20 - 11:30 am Come out swinging for the Zoo at the 12th annual Golf Tournament at El Macero Country Club. Think you are a pretty good golfer? Join us for a swinging-good time for golf, food, prizes and the wildest putting contest in the Sacramento area! All proceeds benefit the Zoo.
Member Evening Thursday, May 23 - 5:30 pm to 8:30 pm Visit the Zoo after everyone else has gone home. Bring your own dinner or stop by Kampala Cafe, we’ll also have unique activities and lots of fun. You can also support the local chapter of the American Association of Zoo Keepers by purchasing a pre-made enrichment for one of the animals that evening.
Sacramento River Cats Zoo Night Friday, May 31 - 7:05 pm Watch the River Cats take on the Salt Lake City Bees AND support the Zoo by purchasing tickets here and using promo code saczoo. A portion of the proceeds will be donated back to the Zoo. Come out for a great night of baseball and finish it off with a spectacular fireworks show.

Stuffed Animal Veterinary Clinic Saturday, July 13 - 10 am to 4 pm Is your teddy bear feeling under the weather? Does your stuffed animal have a cut that needs fixing? We are here to help! A Stuffed Animal Veterinarian will assess the overall health of your stuffed animal and make a diagnosis based on the symptoms. Proceeds benefit Greater Sac AAZK.
Wells Fargo Wednesdays Wednesdays, July 17, 24 & 31 - 9 am to 4 pm Bring your kids to the Zoo for free on three Wednesdays in July thanks to Wells Fargo! Up to four kids, ages 2-11 will be admitted for free with a paid adult. Wells Fargo will offer a free train or carousel ride to kids. Ice Cream Safari Saturday, August 17 - 4 pm to 8 pm Bring the entire family to enjoy all-you-can-eat Baskin Robbins Ice Cream and Coca-Cola beverages at the 29th Annual Ice Cream Safari. It's a brain-freezing good time from 4 to 8 pm. Zoo closes early at 1:30 pm.
Red Panda Day Saturday, September 7 - 10 am to 4 pm Join us for an interactive and educational event developed to raise awareness about Red Panda conservation. Kids (and adults too!) can become “Red Panda Rangers” after stopping at the various Red Panda Stations and completing the Panda activities. If you became a ranger last year, complete this year’s activities to become a “Junior Forest Guardian!” New this year, a silent auction! Stop by to bid on Red Panda themed artwork, décor, and other keepsakes. Proceeds benefit The Red Panda Network, a conservation group working directly with community-based organizations in Nepal.

Deaf Awareness Day Saturday, September 21 - 10 am to 3 pm Join us for a special day for our deaf and hard of hearing community sponsored by NorCal Services for Deaf and Hard of Hearing. The Zoo will have ASL interpreters on site for the event. There are limited facilities for service animals. Please call (916) 808-5888 in advance.
Wild Affair Saturday, October 5 - 5 to 10 pm The Wild Affair fundraiser offers guests the chance to spend an enchanted evening behind the scenes at the Sacramento Zoo. This annual Gala event includes a delicious full-course gourmet dinner, followed by a silent and live auction with plenty of wine, spirits and endless hors d'oeuvres. Zoo closes early at 1:30 pm.

Boo at the Zoo Wednesday & Thursday, October 30 & 31 - 5 pm to 8 pm Bring the family to the Zoo for a spook-tacular good time. Play some ghoulish games, create creepy crafts and trick or treat around the lake. It’s a safe and fun Halloween at the Sacramento Zoo. Zoo closes early at 1:30 pm both days.
Food Drive November 1 to December 24 - 10 am to 4 pm Bring a non-perishable food item when you visit the Zoo and receive $1 off your Zoo admission! Food donations benefit Sacramento families in need.
Military Family Day Monday, November 11 - 10 am to 4 pm In appreciation for our troops, all military personnel, veterans and their families receive a 50% discount on Zoo admission with a valid military identification card.
AAZK Wreath Sale Fundraiser Weekends in December - 11:30 am to 1:30 pm Celebrate the holiday season with Zoo-grown homemade wreaths! The local chapter of the American Association of Zoo Keepers will be at the front of the Zoo during the December weekends selling beautiful wreaths for your home. Proceeds benefit Greater Sac AAZK.
Holiday Magic Saturday, December 14 - 10 am to 4 pm Why should only humans receive gifts during the holidays? It’s time for Holiday Magic—watch as the animals unwrap their holiday goodies! Please bring a nonperishable food item and receive $1 off your Sacramento Zoo admission.
PJ Party Christmas Eve Tuesday, December 24 - 10 am to 1:30 pm Celebrate Christmas Eve at the Zoo, and you don't have to change out of your pajamas! That's right, admission is free and we will be in our best pjs. Join us! Zoo closes early at 1:30 pm.
