Bring your valentine to a special I Heart Sacramento Zoo day organized by the Sacramento Zoo Teen volunteers. The event features valentine-themed animal enrichments, informative talks and activity tables – all included with general admission. Sacramento Zoo Teens will also provide interactive ways to discover how you can conserve water.

All enrichments happen at the exhibits, unless noted.
9:30 am - Chimpanzee
10:00 am - Sumatran Tiger
10:30 am - Orangutan
11:00 am - Red River Hog
11:30 am - Snow Leopard
12:00 pm - Reptile House
1:00 pm - Wolf’s Guenon
1:30 pm - Giraffe
2:00 pm - Black & White Ruffed Lemur
2:30 pm - Interpretive Center* (Reptile House Lawn)
3:00 pm - Ground Hornbill
3:30 pm - Aardvark & Fennec Fox
A little rain didn't stop the Zoo Teens from making fun animal treats and sharing with the visitors! Thanks to the Zoo Teens for their hard work.
Zoo Teens are 13 to 19-year-old volunteers interested in animals, the earth, and the community who spend their weekends at the Sacramento Zoo. Zoo Teens develop their own ideals, views, and passions to encourage Zoo patrons become better stewards of the Earth. I Heart Sacramento Zoo will give the teen volunteers experience communicating with the public and offer visitors an opportunity to learn more about the Zoo’s unique animals.
