Education Program Scholarships
The Sacramento Zoo strives to provide an outdoor educational experience to children of all ages regardless of their economic level. We offer many ways for children to foster an understanding and appreciation of wildlife through, year-round field trips, ZooMobiles which bring the Zoo to your classroom or summer camp. In an effect to continue this goal we are proudly offering grants to qualifying schools and families to experience the Zoo.
Zoo Fieldtrip Transportation Scholarship
Through a generous grant from the Kelly Foundation we are able to offer a scholarship for a limited number of schools. If you are interested in applying please download the application and email to Charlie Weiss, Corporate Sponsorship Manager.
The grant will cover up to $200.00 of transportation costs for one field trip to the Sacramento Zoo; the school group would pay the discounted admission rate to the Zoo. The field trip must be scheduled to visit between February 2013 and March 2013 to receive the grant bus funding; field trips for beyond March 2013 are not applicable.

ZooMobile Scholarship
The Sacramento Zoo periodically offers a ZooMobile scholarship fund for low income or Title 1 schools. When scholarships are available they will be posted here. Thank you to Yocha Dehe Community Fund and the River Cats Foundation for sponsoring 30 ZooMobile programs in the last year!
Summer Camp Scholarship
The Sacramento Zoo offers a summer camp scholarship fund to help families send their child/ren to the Zoo for a fun-filled camp class; this scholarship has been made available through generous donations from families that are attending our summer camp. If you would like to apply for a summer camp scholarship download the application and email to Michelle Gardner, Reservation Specialist
We offer either a full or partial scholarship per child depending on the financial need of the family. All applications are taken under consideration and information listed is kept strictly confidential.
