Daytime Birthday Parties
Sacramento Zoo birthday parties are great for children 1 to 11 years of age. Enjoy your reserved birthday party area next to the carousel for a one hour celebration. Everyone rides the carousel, then you and your guests can enjoy the rest of the day exploring the Sacramento Zoo at your leisure. The Reptile House is a favorite of most children - large and small!  Ask for the latest schedule of animal presentations or check the daily calendar.

Birthday parties are self-contained and all inclusive. It's simple, unique, and the memories will last a lifetime!

Reservations
Reservations are available at 11am, 12:30pm, and 2pm Saturdays and Sundays. Parties must be scheduled at least 2 weeks in advance. A deposit of $150 ($125 for members) is due upon reservation. 35 guests maximum (excluding children under one year). Want to make your guests feel even more special?  The Sacramento Zoo is now offering special options to add to your birthday party to make sure it's a memorable one!

• Additional Carousel tickets: $2 per ticket
• Sacramento Zoo Train tickets: $3 per ticket

• Additional Zoo Keys for guests: $3.50 per Zoo Key
• 1-hour Scavenger Hunt: $50
• Fun craft for you and your guests: $50

Winter Accommodations
Don't forget about the Zoo when it's raining!  The Sacramento Zoo is a great spot for your child's winter birthday as well!  Located in the Kampala Center, your Zoo birthday is sure to be a hit, rain or shine! (Indoor space is available November-March). Winter capacity is 35 guests maximum (excluding children under one year).

Evening Birthday Parties
Or perhaps your special birthday person is a night owl and prefers to indulge in a private tour of the zoo! Try one of our new, evening, Starlight Safari Birthday Parties. These parties include an interactive stage show, guided tours, an animal encounter, and a take home craft. This safari is perfect for 20 - 40 guests, and costs $600 for the first 20 guests and $35 for each additional guest. Starlight Safari Birthday Parties are available all year long, based upon availability!
