Offsite Programs
Bringing the Zoo to You

Classrooms
Are your students looking for a wild adventure without leaving the classroom? We offer age-appropriate programs for preschool through 12th grade.  The ZooMobile, our Zoo on wheels, will bring a variety of live animals to your class and discuss topics ranging from how animals move to the plight of endangered species. Also, check out Docent Outreach Program a volunteer educator led lesson including an action-packed video, activity, and more.

Groups
Are you looking for an engaging educational experience for your scout troop, church, home school group, or other organization?  We have several offsite programs available for groups of 40 people or fewer. The ZooMobile, our Zoo on wheels, will bring a variety of live animals to your meeting and discuss topics ranging from how animals move to native North American wildlife. Or check out our Docent Outreach Program, a volunteer educator led lessons including an action-packed video, activity, and more.

Seniors
We can bring a fun and educational presentation to your senior group with or without live animals. The ZooMobile, our Zoo on wheels, will bring a variety of animals native to North America and talk about our local wildlife. Also, check out our Seniors to Seniors program, a volunteer educator narrated, action-packed video presentation.

Career Talks
A representative of the Zoo can visit your class to talk about the general careers available in the Zoo field. Zoo veterinary specific talks are not available through the Education Department.
