All of our offsite school programs meet California State Science Frameworks!
ZooMobile - Live Animal Presentation
Let us bring live animals to your pre-K through 12th grade classroom with the Sacramento Zoo’s ZooMobile! We can visit schools within 50 miles of the Zoo, or no more than 1 hour’s drive. Your classroom must be at a school, community center or library; we cannot take the ZooMobile to a private home.

Thanks to grants received from the River Cats Foundation and the Yocha Dehe Community Fund we are able to offer a limited number of ZooMobile scholarships. Visit the scholarship page for more information.

Sponsor a ZooMobile!
Help us bring live animals to a school or classroom. You, your company or your organization can purchase a ZooMobile for economically disadvantaged schools, or any school of your choice.
We can visit schools within 50 miles of the Zoo, or no more than 1 hour’s drive. We will do up to three programs per day, in the same presentation room. Your classroom must be at a school, community center or library; we cannot take the ZooMobile to a private home.

Docent Outreach Program - Video Presentation
In this 40-45 minute program, Sacramento Zoo docents narrate an action-packed video illustrating our zoo animals’ adaptations to different habitats. The video is followed by a felt animal habitat activity and more.
- Available Tuesday through Friday. Not available between Mother's Day and Father's Day
- Kindergarten - 4th Grade
- 40 students maximum per program. We will do up to three programs per day for a maximum of 120 students. Each program must take place in the same presentation room
- Only $10.00 per program
