Small Wonders Construction
Construction on the Small Wonders of Africa exhibit is going well since the January start. See progress photos and come visit on Labor Day weekend!

Wells Fargo Logo

Wells Fargo Wednesdays        July 30: 9 am to 4 pm
Thanks to Wells Fargo, up to four kids, ages 2-11 will be admitted for free with a paid adult on Wells Fargo Wednesdays! Kids get one free ride ticket. On July 30th the Wells Fargo Stage Coach is here and much more!

Twilight Thursday Icon

Twilight Thursday - Old Skool Grove       July 31: 5:30 to 8 pm
Spend the summer nights with hot cars, live music, cool drinks and good food.  Live music by East Wind and a Lowriders car show.

Deaf Awareness Day Icon

Deaf Awareness Day       September 13: 10 am to 3 pm
Join us for a special day for our deaf and hard of hearing community sponsored by NorCal Services for Deaf and Hard of Hearing. The Zoo will have ASL interpreters on site for the event.

Red Panda Day        September 27: 10 am to 4 pm
Learn about Red Panda conservation! Kids and adults can become "Red Panda Rangers" after stopping at various stations and completing activities.

Wild Affair Icon

Wild Affair Gala Fundraiser       October 4: 5 to 10 pm
A fabulous evening awaits you! Enjoy a sumptuous farm-to-fork meal, live entertainment, exclusice behind-the-scenes animal tours, hosted cocktails and wine, live and silent auction. Zoo closes early at 1:30 pm.

Open since 1927, the Sacramento Zoo is home to over 140 native, rare and endangered species and is one of over 200 accredited institutions of the Association of Zoos and Aquariums.  The Zoo is wholly managed by the nonprofit Sacramento Zoological Society and inspires conservation awareness through education and recreation.
