Holiday Food Drive      Daily in December: 10 am to 4 pm
During the holiday season, bring a non-perishable food item when you visit the Zoo and receive $1 off your Zoo admission! Benefitting the River City Food Bank.

AAZK Wreath Sale Fundraiser  December 20, 21: 11:30 am to 1:30 pm
Celebrate the holiday season with homemade wreaths and support the local chapter of the American Association of Zoo Keepers.

Winter Mini-Camp, 1st - 6th Graders       December 21: 10 am to 2 pm
Let your little ones explore the zoo, learn about the animals, participate in games and crafts and meet an Animal Ambassador in this one day mini-camp!

PJ Party Christmas Eve        December 24: 10 am to 1:30 pm
Celebrate Christmas Eve at the Zoo, and you don't even need to change out of your pajamas! That's right, admission is free and we will be in our best pjs. Join us! Zoo closes at 1:30 pm.

The Sacramento Zoo will be closed in observance of Christmas Day. Regular winter hours of 10 am to 4 pm will resume on December 26th. Merry Christmas from the Zoo!

Open since 1927, the Sacramento Zoo is home to over 140 native, rare and endangered species and is one of over 200 accredited institutions of the Association of Zoos and Aquariums.  The Zoo is wholly managed by the nonprofit Sacramento Zoological Society and inspires conservation awareness through education and recreation.
