Pokémon Go Day     September 10: 9 am to 4 pm
With nine Pokéstops and two Gyms on 14 acres, Trainers can do everything at the Zoo. Take advantage of lures set at various Pokéstops inside the Zoo continuously from 9 am to 4 pm.

Red Panda Day       September 10: 10 am to 4 pm
Join us for an interactive and educational event about Red Panda awareness and conservation. Kids can become “Red Panda Rangers” and much more!

Deaf Awareness Day Icon

Deaf Awareness Day        September 17: 9 am to 3 pm
Join us for a special day for our deaf and hard of hearing community sponsored by NorCal Services for Deaf and Hard of Hearing. The Zoo will have ASL interpreters on site for the event.

Mike's Camera logo 3-Day Photography Workshop & Safari        September 22, 25 & 27
Hone your photography skills with Mike's Camera staff during this three-day experience including an evening class session, a morning visit to the Zoo and an evening follow-up critique. 50% of your tuition benefits the Sacramento Zoo.

Nature Explorers          September 24: 10 am to 2 pm
Join the Zoo and the Sacramento Library in an open play environment. We will be reading stories, playing, and exploring the wonders of the natural world.

This annual Gala event includes a delicious full-course gourmet dinner, followed by a silent and live auction with plenty of wine, spirits and endless hors d'oeuvres. Zoo closes early at 1:30 pm.

Boo at the Zoo Icon

All New Boo at the Zoo     October 29 & 30: 11 am to 5 pm
Bring the family and experience the all new daytime Boo at the Zoo. Play some ghoulish games, create creepy crafts and trick or treat around the whole Zoo while enjoying all of the animals. This is a ticketed event. Zoo closed for general admission and membership passes both days.

Open since 1927, the Sacramento Zoo is home to over 140 native, rare and endangered species and is one of over 200 accredited institutions of the Association of Zoos and Aquariums.  The Zoo is wholly managed by the nonprofit Sacramento Zoological Society and inspires conservation awareness through education and recreation.
