ZooMobile for Classrooms & Groups
Let us bring live animals to your classroom with the Sacramento Zoo’s ZooMobile! We can visit schools within 50 miles of the Zoo, or no more that 1 hour’s drive. Your classroom must be at a school, community center or library; we cannot take the ZooMobile to a private home. We will do up to three programs per day, in the same presentation room.
Below are the ZooMobiles based on grade level. If you have multiple grade levels in your group, please choose the grade level that contains the focus that best meets your needs.
Preschool
- Length: 20 minutes with live animals
- Maximum capacity: 20 students (ages 3-5)
- Focus: Animal movements, animal body parts
- Cost: $119 per program or two programs for $179
Kindergarten
- Length: 45 minutes with live animals
- Maximum capacity: 40 students
- Focus: The five senses
- State Science Frameworks met: Life Sciences 2, 2a, 2c; Earth Sciences 3, 3c; Investigation and Experimentation 4, 4a, 4c, 4d, 4e
- Cost: $179 per program
First Grade
- Length: 45 minutes with live animals
- Maximum capacity: 40 students
- Focus: Animal adaptations for survival, dentition

Second Grade
- Length: 45 minutes with live animals
- Maximum capacity: 40 students
- Focus: Life cycles

Third Grade
- Length: 45 minutes with live animals

- Length: 45 minutes with live animals

Fifth Grade

Seventh Grade through Twelfth Grade
- Length: 45 minutes with live animals
- Maximum capacity: 40 students
- Focus: We offer a wide variety of custom programs for this age group because of the diversity of information taught at this level. Topics include genetics, evolution, structure functions, earth sciences andconservation. After registering, an Education Specialist will contact you to discuss a program to fit your curriculum.
