Sacramento Zoo Member Registration
Zoo members must create a username and password to log into the saczoo.org website. At 9:00 am on March 19th, 2013, the link for Summer Camp registration will be posted on our website (if you log in prior to 9:00 am you will need to refresh the page). The registration link will be posted on the “Welcome” page that appears when you first log into the website. Logged in members may also view the link on the “Members’ Page” of our website. This page is available under the “My Sacramento Zoo” option on the menu bar.
On the day of registration make sure to read the Important Reminders listed above the registration link!
It is recommended that you become a Member by March 1st and create your username and password by March 7th to ensure you are included in the early registration process.
If you have any questions about this process or experience any difficulties, call (916) 808-5888 or email the Membership Department.
Registration will be open to all April 2nd, 2013.
Once you have chosen to “register,” you will see a screen that will ask you to “Add New Participant.” Click on that button and include the first name, and last name of your camper.
Please enter the name of the CAMPER you are registering, not your name.
Once you have typed in one camper, click the “Add” button, (you can add more than one camper name on this screen by clicking on the “Add New Participant” button). This enables you to register more than one camper at the same time. Once you have added all of the campers you would like to register, please click “continue”.
Next you will see a page listing your campers. On this page, you will be able to click the “Register For Activities” link to the right of each of your campers’ names. Activities are listed by grade level on a drop down menu. Campers can register for the grade level they will be entering in the fall of this year. Note: We reserve the right to remove campers not placed in the age appropriate class and a processing fee will apply. Once all classes are selected click “continue.”
Next, you will see a screen that lists all the classes selected for that camper. On this screen, you will be informed if you have a spot saved in the class or on the wait list. Repeat the process of clicking the link “Register For Activities” on the right of the screen for your additional campers.
You can delete activities if you selected one by accident, or add more activities by clicking “Register for Activities” next to the camper’s name if you forgot to add one. Once all campers have their classes selected, click “continue” at the bottom of the screen.
Note: Your space in the classes or waitlist will be reserved until you finish the registration. You must finish completing all parent and camper forms before your space in the class or position on the waitlist is confirmed. Exiting out of the program at this time will release your spaces in the classes.
After you have chosen the classes you would like for all of your campers, you will be asked for more detailed registration information including medical information, emergency contacts, shirt size (Zoo Camp only), etc.
Follow all prompts and once that is completed. Once the parent information has been filled out, you may be prompted to fill out the camper or “student” information. You cannot continue until all the forms have been completed.
Once all the forms have been completed click “Continue” at the bottom of the page.
If you are placed on the waitlist for a class, it will show up on the receipt, but there will not be a charge. You still must finish the transaction by selecting the appropriate button at the bottom of the screen to successfully be placed on the waitlist.
If the waitlist space opens up in the class, we will contact you to see if you are still interested, and to process payment at that time. We always recommend getting on the waitlist for the classes you want because spaces do open.
If you have questions about the registration process for the Sacramento Zoo Summer Classes, email the Reservation Specialist or call (916) 808-8814.
