The Sacramento Zoological Society hosts the Swingin' Safari Golf Tournament on Monday, May 17th at El Macero Country Club in Davis. Open to all skill levels, the golf tournament is presented by Nacht & Lewis Architects. This benefit golf tournament supports the Zoo’s educational programs, reaching students of all ages with on-site programming and community outreach.
The day begins at noon at El Macero Country Club. The afternoon includes lunch followed by a unique putting contest only the Zoo can offer, including visits from live Zoo animals. Have you ever had to putt past a pink flamingo or tee-off under the watchful eye of a Harris’ hawk accompanied by the call of a Blue and gold macaw? These are the challenges you'll face when the Sacramento Zoo and Nacht & Lewis Architects team up to bring you the Swingin’ Safari golf tournament.
After the putting contest, tee off with an 18-hole scramble on El Macero’s beautiful private course. End the evening with a delicious dinner, raffle prizes and awards ceremony, hosted by KOVR’s Sam Shane featuring Sacramento’s most unique golf trophies – ostrich eggs with hand-drawn images. Foursome sponsorships and limited single player spots are still available.
