Sacramento Zoo Recognized for Sound Fiscal Management
Charity evaluator gives Zoo highest rating
For the second year in a row, the Sacramento Zoological Society has received the top ranking – four out of a possible four stars - from Charity Navigator, the nation’s premier charity evaluator. “We are honored to receive this recognition for a second straight year,” said Mary Healy, Sacramento Zoo Director/CEO. Only 20% of the charities rated by Charity Navigator have received two consecutive 4-star evaluations. The Sacramento Zoo is one of only six organizations in Sacramento ranked with four stars.

Sacramento Zoo -- Wildly Inspiring!
Open since 1927, the Sacramento Zoo is home to over 450 native, rare and endangered animals and is one of over 200 accredited institutions of the Association of Zoos and Aquariums. Located near the corner of Land Park Drive and Sutterville Road in William Land Park, the Zoo is wholly managed by the non-profit Sacramento Zoological Society.
