What's Happening: Spring is almost here and it’s time to plan your garden! Talk with professionals from garden clubs, plant societies, nurseries and outdoor gardening centers at the Zoo’s 6th annual Bloomin’ Crazy Plant Fest. Enjoy the Zoo’s animals as well as colorful garden displays. Bring your little red wagon and take home beautiful spring bulbs and loads of ideas.
Where: Sacramento Zoo, 3930 West Land Park Drive, in William Land Park.
When: Saturday, March 3rd, from 9 am to 4 pm.
You will learn about amazing animals during the Wildlife Stage Show at 11:00 am, and then meet the animal ambassadors up close and personal after the show. Join us for Keeper Chats at 2:15, 2:30 and 2:45pm where you can learn more about Sumatran Orangutans, Giant Anteaters and watch a Harris Hawk flight demonstration. Throughout the day, the Zoo will feature education stations with animal bio-artifacts.
Participants include: Capital City African Violet Society, Friends of the Sacramento Public Library, Friends of San Juan de Oriente, Mira Loma Arcade Creek Project, Sacramento Bromeliad & Carnivorous Plant Society, the UC Davis Master Gardener and many more.
