Join Sacramento Zoo director, Jason Jacobs to hear about what you, your friends and family can do to help us as in our efforts to create a modern-day zoo right here in Sacramento! From writing letters to helping us rally interest and support, YOU can be a true Sacramento Zoo Champion! Join us in the Kampala Conference Room on either April 3 or 4 from 6 to 7 pm and learn how!

The Sacramento Zoological Society will hold a meeting for members on Wednesday, April 17, at 5:30 pm in the Kampala Conference Room. The Board of Trustees and zoo staff will host a special informative evening for members to discuss the zoo’s role in the community, past and future. Your feedback is welcome. Seating is limited. Please register by April 12.

How many people can I bring?
The number of people allowed in is determined by the level of your membership. That same number will be honored at the member evening. If you are unsure of the number of people covered, view member benefits or call the Member & Visitor Services Office at 916-808-5888.
Can I bring guests that are not covered by my membership?
Yes, as a zoo member, you may bring guests to the member evening. The admission price for guests is $6 for adults, $4 for children ages 2-11, 1 year and under are free.
Do I need to make a reservation?
No. Just bring your Sacramento Zoo membership card, and you will be let in. You may pay for guests at the gate.
I’m not a zoo member but this sounds like fun. How can I get in?

Bring your own, or Kampala Cafe will be open to purchase dinner!
What kind of seating is there?
There will be indoor and outdoor seating by the Kampala Cafe. You may also bring a picnic blanket and get your family into the spirit!

When is the Wildlife Stage Show?
5:45 pm and 6:45 pm in the amphitheater followed by an animal meet & greet.

Is the whole zoo open that night?
Yes*. You can walk through the whole zoo that night.
*The Reptile House closes at 7:30 pm.
Is the gift store open?
Yes. The Zoofari Market will be open for your shopping pleasure with a special 20% off discount!
