Offsite Programs for Groups
Are you looking for an engaging educational experience for your scout troop, church, home school group, or other organization?  We have several programs available for groups of 40 people or fewer.

ZooMobile - Live Animal Program
Let us bring live animals to your educational meeting with the Sacramento Zoo’s ZooMobile! We can visit groups an hour’s drive of the Zoo. Your classroom must be at a school, community center or library; we cannot take the ZooMobile to a private home.

Docent Outreach Program - 
Or check out our Docent Outreach Program, a volunteer educator will illustrate our Zoo animals’ adaptations to different habitats. This is a great introduction to a Zoo visit or as a standalone program about  animal habitats..

  • Available Tuesday through Friday. Not available between Mother’s Day and Father’s day.
  • 40 people maximum per program. We will do up to three programs per day for a maximum of 120 students.  All programs must take place in the same presentation room 
  • Only $10.00 per program

  • Hip Habitats: Cool Critters 
          K – 4th grade, 4 – 9 years old. 
          This program meets California State Science Frameworks, and includes a felt animal activity and more.   
  • Docents to Seniors
