Boot Camp and the Sacramento Zoo is back, Wednesday May 1st through July 3rd, from 9:15 to 10:15 am. Each one-hour workout is designed for all levels and abilities. A coach from Mama Boot Camp will lead the workout and help you get the most out of your training. After your workout, you get to cool down with a stroll around the Zoo.
Strollers are welcome, however, child supervision is not provided. Children over the age of 13 years old can participate in the class as long as the parent or guardian is present and they sign a waiver for that child. .
Admission to the class is free with a signed waiver and a Sacramento Zoo Membership or general Zoo admission. Find out about being a Zoo Member!

What do I need to do when I show up?
After you show your membership card or pay Zoo admission head to the Reptile House Lawn. You will be asked to sign a waiver.
Do I need to register before hand?
We recommend that you register to guarantee your spot in class; however, you can also just drop in.
What do I need to bring?
Bring water, a towel, a snack for recovery and a positive attitude. You can also bring a yoga mat for the ground exercises if you would like. It is also suggested that you eat a little something before-hand so that you are not exercising on an empty stomach.

What kind of workout should I expect?
You should expect to be challenged; each class is one- hour long and will start with an active warm-up that will get your blood flowing. The bulk of the class will be a combination of cardio and strength exercises tailored to the class member’s abilities. Then the class will wrap up with a cool-down.
What ability should I have to join this class?
This class is open and encouraged for those of all abilities. The difficulty of the workout will be tailored to those in the class.
Where do I go when I show up?
Classes will be held on the Reptile House Lawn in front of the amphitheatre.
Can I stay in the Zoo afterward?
After the workout you are free to visit the Zoo for the rest of the day.
Will there be water available?
We advise you to bring your own bottle of water. There is a water fountain available as well as bottles of water available for purchase in the Kampala Café.
Can I bring kids?
You are welcome to bring children in strollers. Supervision for children will not be provided, however, children 13 and older can participate if a parent or guardian has a signed waiver and is present during the class.
Am I going to sweat?
If you’re not sweating during the workout, you are doing something wrong! Your hard work will pay off in feeling stronger and more fit.
