Non-stop, roundtrip ride from the Sacramento Zoo to Old Sacramento

WHAT’S HAPPENINGTired of trying to find parking in William Land Park? Saturdays and Sundays in July the Sacramento Zoo will offer non-stop, roundtrip bus service from the Sacramento Zoo to the Rail Road Museum and back, giving visitors the option of parking in Old Sacramento. Also in July, bring your kids to the Zoo for free on three Wednesdays thanks to Wells Fargo.

WHERE: The shuttle will run roundtrip from the Railroad Museum in Old Sacramento to the Sacramento Zoo. 

WHEN: The shuttle will run Saturdays and Sundays July 6th through August 25th from 10am to 5pm.

Wells Fargo Wednesdays are July 17, 24 and 31 from 9 am to 4 pm.

WHAT’S GOING ON: Distance between Old Sacramento and the Sacramento Zoo, and parking in William Land Park can make it difficult for visitors to see both attractions in one day. In order to alleviate that struggle and make it easier for guests, a shuttle bus will run between the Sacramento Zoo and Old Sacramento on Saturdays and Sundays, July 6th through August 25th. This offers guests the option of parking in Old Sacramento, exploring the area and then taking the shuttle to the Sacramento Zoo. Passage will cost $2 per person roundtrip. Children one and under are free.

Also, on three Wednesdays in July, bring your kids to the Zoo for free thanks to Wells Fargo. Up to four kids, ages 2-11 will be admitted for free with a paid adult. Wells Fargo will offer a free train or carousel ride to kids. On July 31, the famous Wells Fargo Stage Coach will be at the Zoo!

On your next visit to the Zoo, don;t forget to bring new school supplies for Sacramento Zoo's school supply drive and receive $1 off General Admission.

Open since 1927, the Sacramento Zoo is home to more than 500 native, rare and endangered animals and is one of over 200 accredited institutions of the Association of Zoos and Aquariums.  Located near the corner of Land Park Drive and Sutterville Road in William Land Park, the Zoo is wholly managed by the non-profit Sacramento Zoological Society.  This Sacramento treasure inspires conservation awareness through education and recreation.  Open daily from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm, general admission is $11.25; children ages 2-11 are $7.25 and one and under are admitted free.  Parking is free throughout the park or ride Regional Transit bus #6.
