We continue to face unprecedented times in light of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Sacramento Zoo continues to care for over 400 rare, native and endangered animals, providing each one with fresh and healthy diets, world-class veterinary care and compassionate daily care provided by a dedicated core team of professionals. This care, which includes wholesome diets, world-class veterinary care, regular enrichment and compassionate daily care amounts to $200,000 each 30 days.

As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, the Sacramento Zoo relies on admission ticket sales, memberships, program fees and donations to operate. While our dedicated animal care and veterinary teams continue to provide excellent care for our animals, being closed is and will continue to have a significant impact on our overall operating budget.

Please consider a donation to our emergency operating fund to assist us in the care of our animals and team members. Your generous support is critical – now more than ever.
