Thanks to Wells Fargo, the 1st Wednesday of each month in 2017 & 2018 is Wells Fargo Wednesday! Up to four children ages 2-11 receive free admission to the Sacramento Zoo with a paid adult.

Walk on the wild side at the 22nd annual Wild Affair gala at the Sacramento Zoo! Guests will enjoy a farm-to-fork dinner at dusk, silent and live auctions and live entertainment. In addition, guests will enjoy unique animal encounters, meet and greets, and animal enrichment opportunities only offered once a year during Wild Affair. Proceeds from Wild Affair benefit the nonprofit Sacramento Zoo and our efforts to bring okapi to the region. Visit the Wild Affair page for details.
Deaf Awareness Day 9:00 am

Join us for a special day for our deaf and hard of hearing community sponsored by NorCal Services for Deaf and Hard of Hearing. The zoo will have ASL interpreters on site for the event. There are limited facilities for service animals. Please call 916-808-5888 in advance for service dog information.

Join the zoo and the Sacramento Library in an open play environment, the last Saturday of the month anytime between 10 am to 2 pm. We will be reading stories, playing, and exploring the wonders of the natural world with a new topic each month. Visit the Nature Explorers page for more information.

Local craft breweries are partnering with the nonprofit Sacramento Zoo to help you drink local beer with a purpose. Breweries are taking inspiration from zoo residents when developing new beers that will raise money and community awareness about the Sacramento Zoo and its conservation efforts. CELEBRATE! Red Pandas 9:00 am

Presented by the Greater Sac Chapter of the American Association of Zoo Keepers (AAZK) Help us celebrate International Red Panda Day! Join the Greater Sac chapter of the American Association of Zookeepers (AAZK) for an interactive and educational event about Red Panda awareness and conservation. Kids (and adults too!) can become “Red Panda Rangers” after stopping at the various Red Panda Stations and completing the Panda activities. Other stations include face painting and an opportunity to decorate your own flag that will be added to the ones currently surrounding the Red Panda exhibit. Come by and purchase raffle tickets for a chance to win your favorite Red Panda themed artwork, décor, and other keepsakes.
