Please carefully read all guidelines and information below to prepare for new procedures for purchasing tickets and visiting the zoo.

The zoo will be closed on Nov. 26 for Thanksgiving.

Rules and Guidelines for Visiting

  • MASKS/FACE COVERINGS ARE REQUIRED AT ALL TIMES DURING YOUR ZOO VISIT due to county guidelines. Exceptions to the face covering requirement will be made for children under the age of 2 and people who are medically unable to wear one.
  • All tickets must be purchased and reserved in advance online.
  • All tickets must be purchased online for specified entrance time, and must be redeemed during that time.
  • Members must reserve tickets and times as well.
  • Call 916-808-5888 in advance of your visit regarding the use of zoo passes
  • The zoo is currently not accepting cash – credit card transactions only.
  • Please do not visit if you feel ill. Call 916-808-5888 for assistance with rescheduling your tickets.
  • Please maintain a six-foot distance between your group and others when visiting.


As part of our effort to keep everyone healthy and safe, all tickets must be purchased in advance using our online system to enable us to control capacity and limit the number of guests who are inside the zoo at any given time.

Every guest must choose a date and entry time. Each entrance time has a limited capacity.

Sacramento Zoo Prices

General admission: $17.50
Senior admission 65+: $16.50
Children ages 2-11: $12.50
Children ages 0-1: Free

The Sacramento Zoo is just south of downtown Sacramento on the corner of Sutterville Road and Land Park Drive, just off the I-5 freeway, inside of William Land Park.

Our mailing address does not take you to the front of the zoo.
